2018 Rooted Tree

  • Rooted is an opportunity for our middle school youth to grow in faith and deepen relationships. HOWEVER, everyone in the congregation is invited to participate.  Rooted is intentionally intergenerational and activity based.  Our group's ages have ranged from 11 - 94!
  • Rooted meets at Grace Lutheran Church twice a month from 5:15 -7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.  The evening begins with a simple dinner followed by a time of Dwelling in the Word. Then the evening opens into that night's project or activity.  Creating tied fleece blankets for a local agency, baking bread for communion, or learning how to decorate cookies.  We share our faith through it all.
  • Rooted dates in May are Wednesdays, May 1st, 15th and 22nd. As always, we begin with a simple meal about 5:15 pm in the blue room at Grace. Plans are still being laid for May, but will include time spent in prayer, including The Lord's Prayer. We may take a road trip or two as well. Stay tuned for more details!
  • Rooted is experimental, so we will be making changes along the way, growing and learning together as we go.
  • Ephesians 3:16-17 says "I pray that according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love."
