TRINITY IS MOVING

Transitioning into a new location

while maintaining our mission to

FEED THE HUNGRY

and

SERVE THE COMMUNITY

The Trinity Lutheran Church membership voted on May 15th to sell the church building at 209 S. Allen Street in Appleton to a developer.  It is with sadness that we leave our beautiful building, but the Trinity congregation is alive and well and will continue our mission.

The Trinity Council voted to have November 20th, 2016 as the last day of worship in our building. The public is invited to join us at that special worship.  That date was chosen as it coincides with end of the church year, Christ the King Sunday.  Plans are being formulated for a worship service to celebrate the life of Trinity as we move on to our temporary location.  As we had with our Centennial celebration last year, we will have a brunch at Fox Banquets after the service.  A special organ concert will be held on Friday, November 18th, featuring Don Verkuilen.  Don is a former member of Trinity, whose grandparents, Merlin and Leandra Gill, were surprised last spring when Don came home to visit and appeared at the Trinity worship service to play the organ.  Don will also be playing for our final worship on November 20th.  Don is a concert organist, church musician and composer.  Check him out at http://donverkuilen.com/bio for more information of upcoming concerts.

We will begin our ‘new church year’ on Sunday, November 27th (First Sunday in Advent) with a fresh start at our temporary location at Tri-County Chapel on 1592 Oneida St., Menasha (pending Synod Council approval).  At this location we will continue to have our Pancake Breakfasts on the first Sunday of the month (the entire Fox Valley Community is invited to attend) and we will continue to create desserts (decorate cookies) for our partnership with Loaves and Fishes.  We have accepted Grace Lutheran’s kind offer to house our offices, meetings, mid-week services, funerals and weddings at their Mason St., Appleton facility beginning December 1st.  Our location for Christmas Eve worship will be announced at a later date.

As we move forward, there are many items that need to be sold and shared with others.  We will try to maintain a data base for everyone to see the items available.  A few of our assets are listed below:
