Christ Centered, Scripture Based, Inspirational Worship and Programs

à Worship services provided on multiple days and times that utilize a variety of liturgy styles and uses music styles that glorify the Lord and worship that is welcoming to all ages.

à Have a unique family worship experience in combination with a strongly developed Christian education program for children, youth, confirmation and adults that is spiritually based, promotes strong Christian values and worship exposure.

à Develop a strong Children’s Christian Education (CCE), youth, confirmation and adult programming that is spiritually based, promotes strong Christian values and provides worship exposure that will attract and focus on families.

à Create a friendly environment that will promote personal interaction and a sense of family and community in the sanctuary through adopting changes in physical design.

à Develop into a passionate Christian family that carries out a mission of caring, advocacy, service, outreach and ministry to the community surrounding Trinity Lutheran Church and to see our physical location in the community as an asset to serve those in greatest need.

à Develop governance and management structures and processes that facilitate results, insure support for lay leaders and staff, and provide recognition for service.

Making People Feel Valued, Welcomed and Needed

à In a proactive congregation, communication is vital.  The communication paths between the church office, pastors and lay leaders, church council, members and neighbors must be two way.

à In order for our congregation to become and remain vital, it must grow.  To grow, we must attract visitors and retain them as new members.  People will come to Trinity, become members, and remain as active members if they feel comfortable and welcomed.

à When a church offers a variety of activities for members to become involved in, the church’s ministries and members feel welcomed, valued and needed.

Trinity is embarking on a journey of transformation.  Transformational Ministry  is a process to develop a deeper feeling that the spirit of God is moving within us.  The concept is based on the study of scriptures, prayer and reflection.  Our world has changed and is constantly changing.  Doing God’s ministry in the 21st century is requiring that His church change. In a transformation ministry process, change occurs as we seek to discern what it is that God is asking us to do as His church, today and in the future, in Appleton, Wisconsin. It is not about “us,” it’s about “God.”  As we, as the church of God, create a ministry at Trinity that will be dynamic and compelling to be a part of, God will provide everything we need.

Several years ago we went through an excellent visioning process.  The vision of Welcome, Grow and Serve gives us direction as we do ministry at Trinity.  It is through this process of Transformational Ministry that we seek to gain a true understanding of what our missional identity is.  We will gain the understanding of what God wants us to do in this world.

In the year 2002, Trinity members participated in a Visioning Process and established three main ‘guidelines’ for our Mission.
